It’s helpful to apply for a student loan with a co-borrower to increase your chances of being approved and lower your interest rate. Co-borrowing is a lot to ask a person, as your co-borrower will be on the hook for payments if you default on your loan.

It can take up to 40 days for your application to be processed during peak loan season, but during the off-season, your loan could be processed within 15 days.
